Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Pittston, PA. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet established quality standards before they reach our customers. Your primary duties will include inspecting materials, components, and finished products, documenting inspection results, and recommending improvements to the production process to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
Schedule: 3: 30 pm (start time) | Pay Rate: $17/hr | Location: Pittston, PA
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Verify product specifications and quality standards are met according to company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform accurate measurements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality reports and non-conformance issues.
- Communicate with production team members and suppliers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
- Identify and report quality problems or deviations to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
- Conduct final inspections and approve or reject finished products based on quality criteria.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Recommend improvements to production processes and quality control procedures to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems is a plus.
