In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of inventory items using clamp forklifts to facilitate reshipping processes. Your expertise in clamp operations will be crucial in managing and moving large, bulky, or irregularly shaped items within our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate clamp forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve goods in a warehouse setting.
- Load and unload items from trucks, containers, and storage areas using clamp forklifts.
- Ensure proper handling and secure placement of items, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate the flow of goods and ensure timely shipping and receiving.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and report any discrepancies or damage.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including packaging, labeling, and organizing inventory.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification with specific experience in clamp forklifts.
- Proven experience operating clamp forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation.
- Ability to handle and maneuver large, heavy, or irregularly shaped items efficiently and safely.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform lifting and carrying tasks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage inventory and report accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Experience with other types of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
