FSS Staffing is hiring a 2nd Shift Supervisor (Bilingual English/Spanish Required)



Position Title: 2nd Shift Supervisor

Department: Operations / Production

Requirements: Bilingual in English and Spanish/Food Production Background

Shift: 2nd Shift, PM

Pay Rate: $21- $25/hr.

Reports To: Operations Manager / Plant Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt or Non-Exempt (based on company policy)

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL



Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all production, staffing, safety, and workflow activities during the second shift. This role ensures that daily operational goals are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive work environment. The Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and support to team members and serves as the primary point of contact for shift-related issues.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, direct, and support all 2nd shift employees.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity goals are met.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Train new employees and support ongoing skill development.
  • Promote teamwork, open communication, and a positive work culture.



Operations & Production
  • Oversee workflow to ensure production schedules and targets are met.
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and staffing levels to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production data, logs, and reports.
  • Coordinate with other shift supervisors to ensure smooth shift transitions.



Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety checks, audits, and incident reporting.
  • Ensure employees use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.
  • Address workplace hazards immediately and communicate concerns to management.
  • Support ongoing safety training and compliance initiatives.



Quality Control
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards.
  • Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area (5S standards if applicable).



Attendance & Administrative Duties
  • Track employee attendance, approve timecards, and assist with scheduling.
  • Document performance issues, incidents, and shift reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.



QualificationsRequired
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
  • Basic computer skills (email, timekeeping systems, and production software).
Preferred
  • Experience within the specific industry or production environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • OSHA training or safety certification.



Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to ___ lbs (based on company requirements).
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures or environmental conditions depending on the facility.
  • Ability to work full shift hours with occasional overtime as needed.

  • Fast-paced production or warehouse setting.
  • Requires interaction with employees, management, and multiple departments.
  • May involve exposure to noise, machinery, or chemicals depending on operational needs.
